A Dream’s Journey, the first-ever Armenian-Iranian animated film, is gaining international recognition with a series of prestigious awards at film festivals around the world. Directed by Armine Anda, this 12-minute mystery drama explores a touching narrative through the unique relationship between a young girl and an elderly man.
The film centers on Suna, a 12-year-old girl who uses leaves as her blanket, and her encounter with an old man who possesses secret knowledge. The story delves deep into the bonds between father and daughter, teacher and student, adult and child, while highlighting how determination can turn the impossible into reality.
Produced in collaboration between Iran’s Hoorakhsh Studios and Armenia’s Hoshkee Film, A Dream’s Journey has already claimed several significant accolades since its release in 2023. The animation won the Golden Flame Best Animation and Producers awards at the Lantern & Light International Children’s Film Festival in Australia, a Special Mention at Italy’s Corto Lovere International Short Film Festival, an award from the Mexico International Short Film Festival, and the Golden Apricot Award at the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival.
