Esports holding company NIP Group has launched a new game publishing division aimed at developing esports-focused titles. The division will create mini-games for social media platforms, mobile games, and PC games, further enhancing NIP Group’s digital entertainment ecosystem. The move is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its competitive edge in the gaming market and capitalize on emerging industry trends.
Leading the division is NIP Group’s Chief Operating Officer, Hang ‘Allen’ Sui, a seasoned veteran in the gaming and esports industry. With nearly 15 years of experience, Sui previously served as Associate Director at Tencent, where he contributed to the publishing and operations of global gaming titles such as Monument Valley 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and VALORANT.
This development comes after NIP Group’s public listing on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange earlier this year, following the merger of Ninjas in Pyjamas and Chinese esports brand ESV5 in early 2023. The company’s shares are currently trading at $6.99 per share on July 29th. NIP Group operates in Sweden, China, Abu Dhabi, and Brazil, competing in popular titles like League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, VALORANT, Rocket League, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
In addition to its game publishing initiative, NIP Group has recently secured a seven-year partnership with BTG Homeinns to develop esports-themed hotels in China, further expanding its commercial reach.
Commenting on the new venture, Mario Ho, Chairman and Co-CEO of NIP Group, said, “Our entry into the game publishing industry marks an exciting milestone for NIP Group. This move is a natural extension of our vision to deliver a comprehensive and immersive entertainment experience. We are eager to introduce innovative and captivating games to the market and are confident that this new venture will drive significant success and growth for our company.”
