Platige Image, a renowned production and post-production studio specializing in computer graphics, 3D animation, and visual effects, has launched a stunning animated trailer for the Esports World Cup (EWC). Working closely with the EWC Foundation, the studio handled every aspect of the production, from script development to animation style and full CGI execution.
Jakub Jabłoński, the director of the trailer from Platige Image, shared insights into the creative process: “Our animation draws inspiration from the materials and branding colors used in the EWC scenery and the trophy itself. We combined abstract, geometric, golden simulations with elegant stone sculptures that symbolize the tournament’s most important games. A significant aspect of our approach was to highlight the human element of EWC—our athletes, who are heroes in every sense. That’s why we sculpted the most recognizable esports champions in digital stone, dedicating the final segment of the championship to them.”
The Esports World Cup, an elite, multidisciplinary esports competition, boasts the largest prize pool in the industry, featuring championships across the most popular esports titles from all major gaming genres.
Hanna Drewek, VFX producer at Platige Image, added, “The dynamic nature of the tournament requires constant updates to the trailer, including adjustments to the color scheme to align with the individual teams.”
The project was overseen by Łukasz Dziedziński, Marek Gajowski, and Bartek Kmita from Platige Image. The Esports World Cup runs from July 4 to August 24.
