Blacknut Cloud Gaming and Ubisoft have unveiled a new partnership set to revolutionize the cloud gaming landscape. Starting in August 2024, this collaboration will gradually introduce Ubisoft’s extensive library of games to Blacknut’s cloud gaming platform, which boasts compatibility with an estimated 10 billion devices worldwide.
Ubisoft, renowned for its blockbuster franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy’s series, will now offer fans greater accessibility to their favorite games through Blacknut’s B2B and B2C channels. This expansion will allow players to dive into Ubisoft’s iconic worlds across a broader range of devices.
“Bringing Ubisoft games to our platform is a major milestone in our growth strategy,” said Olivier Avaro, CEO of Blacknut. “We’re thrilled to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience by partnering with one of the industry’s most iconic publishers. This collaboration not only enhances our offerings but also positions us for continued growth in the months ahead.”
Blacknut, a leading cloud gaming service available in over 60 countries, offers subscribers access to a library of more than 500 premium games. Their subscription model, which features no lock-in contracts, allows users to stream games on various devices, including tablets, laptops, mobile phones, and Smart TVs. With more than 40 B2B agreements, Blacknut has become a significant player in the cloud gaming industry.
“Blacknut’s robust cloud infrastructure, extensive reach, and device compatibility make them a key player in the cloud gaming market. We’re excited to see our gaming universes reach more players through this partnership,” said Chris Early, SVP of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development at Ubisoft.
The partnership will kick off with the launch of Ubisoft Bonus Games on August 20, 2024. This new feature, introduced in July 2024, allows players to explore a selection of Ubisoft’s back catalog titles during limited discovery windows at no additional cost. Games from iconic franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Anno, and Rayman will be available, with more titles to be added in future updates.
Further details about the collaboration between Blacknut and Ubisoft are expected to be announced later this year, setting the stage for an exciting 2024/2025 roadmap.
