In a highly anticipated update during the One Piece Day ’24 livestream, the animation team behind the upcoming remake of The One Piece was officially unveiled. This exciting project, announced during Jump Festa in December, will see Eiichiro Oda’s globally beloved manga adapted anew, beginning with the “East Blue Saga.” Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Oda’s epic, the series is set to stream worldwide exclusively on Netflix, produced by WIT Studio (known for SPY X FAMILY and Attack on Titan), in collaboration with publisher Shueisha, Fuji Television Network, and Toei Animation.
The newly announced creative team includes:
- Director: Masashi Koizuka (Attack on Titan, Moonrise)
- Assistant Director: Hideaki Abe (key animator on Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet, Suicide Squad ISEKAI ep. 5)

- Image Board & Creature Designer: Yasuhiro Kajino (designer/key animation on In/Spectre, RIN-NE Season 2)
